Tenet Definitions
Color belt students are required to know and recite the tenet for their level at testing.
White Belt……Respect-Deferential regard for those more advanced in the study of Taekwondo , its tenets, and experiences.
Yellow Belt…..Self-Control- The keeping of ones thought, actions and emotions to oneself.
Green Belt……Courage-The state or quality of mind or spirit that enables one to face danger, or fear with self-possession and confidence.
Blue Belt…….Self-Discipline-Training and control of ones self and one’s conduct, usually for self-improvement.
Senior Blue Belt……Integrity- Steadfast adherence to a strict moral or ethical code.
Red Belt…….Courtesy- Polite behavior towards others.
Senior Red Belt……Indomitable Spirit- Unconquerable spirit under all conditions.
Brown Belt…..Victory- Success in a struggle against the difficulties or an obstacle no matter the size.
Senior Brown Belt…….Leadership- The ability to inspire others to fallow your example.
1-R level 1……Loyalty- Allegiance as to a nation, family, or cause.
1-R level 2……Concentration- Focusing and directing your energies toward you objectives until you complete them.
1-R level 3……Team work- co-operation within a group for the benefit of all group members.
1-D Decided……Success- The achievement of something desired, planned, or attempted.
